Lamoille Valley Transportation was established in 1986 and has been in business for over 30 years. We are a second-generation family-owned and operated transportation company. How many buses do you have in your fleet? We have the most diverse fleet of passenger carrying vehicles in Vermont with 50 vehicles which includes 14-passenger Mercedes Vans, 38-56 passenger luxury motor coaches and a variety of school buses. Where do you go? Lamoille Valley Transportation travels to all of the continental US as well as all Canadian Provinces. Is alcohol allowed on the bus? Lamoille Valley Transportation allows alcohol on board our buses as long as our sales team was notified prior to the departure of your trip and must be in cans or plastic bottles. Glass bottles, kegs or coolers are not allowed. All passengers consuming alcohol must be of legal drinking age and alcohol is not permitted when crossing national borders. Passengers may be asked to find alternate transportation at the discretion of the driver in the event of excessive intoxication Is smoking allowed on the bus? Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited on all Lamoille Valley Transportation vehicles!! Passenger who do chose to smoke are asked to do so at a minimum of 200 feet from the vehicle to prevent smoke from entering the vehicle. Is marijuana allowed on the bus? The consumption of marijuana is prohibited at all times on all Lamoille Valley Transportation owned vehicles. Possession of marijuana is prohibited on any trips crossing state borders. Are wheelchair accessible buses available? Yes, wheelchair accessible coaches and school buses are available on a request basis. For every wheelchair on our wheelchair accessible coaches, 6 seats must be removed to accommodate one wheelchair and can accommodate a total of 2 wheelchairs. We recommend that the request is made at the time of booking. Are driver rooms included in the price of my trip? It is customary for groups to book and pay for your driver’s hotel room, as customers will generally get a better rate booking as a “group”. However, in some situations Lamoille Valley will make arrangements for the driver’s room and the cost will be included in your price as well as noted in the contract. If booking the room for the driver, please be sure to ask the hotel about “bus” parking as many “city” locations cannot accommodate bus parking. Is a deposit required? A 50% deposit is required to hold your reservation and is due 60 days prior to your scheduled departure date. When is the final payment due? The final payment for your scheduled trip is due 14 days prior to your departure date. If booking a trip with 14 days or less before the trip date, then the full amount is due at the time of booking. What amount of insurance coverage do you carry? Due to our commitment to safety, Lamoille Valley Transportation, Inc. carries $10 million of insurance, which is double the federally required amount of $5 million.
