Mission Statement: Deliver world-class passenger transportation services responsibly and safely while exceeding the expectations of our customers.

Company History: Lamoille Valley Transportation was incorporated in 1986 by Norman and Noreen Prive with the simple goal to provide safe and reliable transportation. The company was originally awarded a 7 bus contract by the Morristown School district to provide home to school transportation and services for athletic and field trips. They originally operated out of their home and performed all business functions from maintenance, scheduling and driving.

In 1988, they saw a growing need for charter bus service in Vermont and so the company added its first MCI 102A3 motorcoach this With this growth, the need for a dedicated maintenance facility and office space was needed and the current home of Lamoille Valley Transportation was constructed in 1990. In 2007, Lamoille Valley Transportation was awarded the first Green Coach Certification in the United States by the University of Vermont. 2008 brought substantial growth to the company as a seasonal satellite operation was established in Rapid City, South Dakota as there was a need for “tour” quality motorcoach services in that area. Over the years Lamoille Valley Transportation has continued to grow; all while maintaining the original vision set by its founder to provide modern, safe, reliable transportation.

Noreen Prive retired in 2017 and Norman followed in 2020. Norman continues to comes to work every day as it is his vision to provide world class transportation service and exceptional customer service which still drives the company.

Today, the company continues to be family owned and operated by generations of family members. Lamoille Valley Transportation will be going on 34 years of providing motorcoach service with over 50 vehicles in the fleet, and is the longest running motorcoach company in Vermont.
